Taproom Bartender (Part Time / Full Time)

Job Description

Bartenders in the Charles Towne Fermentory taproom oversee the full customer experience while representing the beer, the brand, and our neighborhood. Bartenders are expected to greet customers, serve customers, and keep a welcoming and clean environment for all our patrons.
Current opening is part time with the potential to expand to full time.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers, explain the menu of beers and other offerings, help as requested.

  • Pour beers, fill crowlers, sell merchandise and beer to go.

  • Maintain a knowledge of the brewery's offerings.

  • Run a point of sale system and handle transactions.

  • Cleaning on the go.

  • Restocking inventory.

  • Set up the bar and clean the taproom at the end of each night.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work for 8 hours on your feet.

  • Night and weekend shifts are expected.

  • Be flexible and a problem solver.

  • Have a general knowledge of beer types and history.

  • Handle the beer with great care.

  • Previous taproom, bar tending, F&B experience is greatly preferred but not required.

  • A desire to learn more about beer, brewing, and fermentation is a must.

  • TIPS Certification is not required to apply, but will need to be completed upon hiring if not already completed.
